Snook out first light looking for a fox working my patch, blasted things.

I am trying my best to make a nice habitat for game birds and rabbits and someone drops five foxs on me!

Got three so far and watched one last night on dark!

The hunt must be about to pay a visit :whistling: !

Anyway never happened so I got in a natural blind I made for a brew n' bite and a bit of a squeal.

Nowt turned up but three squizzers a little later so I loaded a few reversed bullet reduced rabbit loads in the mag of the 94 and teased the magnum load out the chamber. Popped the folding rear sight up (set for the rabbit load) looked through the peep sight (set for mag loads) took aim and nailed the first and then a second. The third scarpered.

Then the rain moved in so went home but on the way took aim at a 200yd or so crow and just snook over the top of him! Miracle it didna take it's head off how it looked from where I was standing! Chuffin' good for opens and if it had been Mr fox.......

good shooting there.. them reversed rounds always sound odd.. but i bet it delivers a thump and have good knock down power??

I only pop them out on 4.9grns of Alliant Green dot. I guess they only doing 800-900fps. Sometimes you can see them go. And they drop big time after 50yds. So knock down... they don't really but small game does tend to stay put!

Makes for a great versatile carbine....in fact I prefere it to my 22!
