Steve177
Hi all, I have seen that Apple TV is selling this week in groupon for £75. I have an Iphone 4s, and SWMBO is getting an Ipad mini for xmas. My question is, Is is any good? whats it used for? and is it like sky? Any help will be greatly appreciated as the apple website only sings its praises Thanks in advance Steve
Drongo
We use it regular... YouTube, movies on demand, streaming music from phone via TV speakers as an alternative to a stereo, mirroring what you see on phones/iPads to share with others and more... Well worth £75 quid
The Croc
Get a jailbroken Gen 2 Apple tv and get everything, better than sky, can't do it (jalbreak) with the Gen 3 hence they're cheaper.
HDAV
It allows you to show iPad screen on TV and more

The Croc
It's called "add ons" and it all runs off the broadband (have to have unlimited broadband) google, xbmc, channel 1, ice films
Zulu
It's called "add ons" and it all runs off the broadband (have to have unlimited broadband) google, xbmc, channel 1, ice films My download speed is 3mbps , is that too slow for the above ? , fibre optic not available in this area yet , see the Apple TV2 commands a price premium due to its ability to accept add ons . dukeboy
I also have a gen 2, it's all the tv you'd ever need. Wouldn't be without it! the 3 would still be a good piece of kit for 75quid, the airplay is brilliant
