phaedra1106
Get a bigger one than you think you need The Argos electronic safes are not bad, most of the electronic locking ones on Ebay (and in general) are pants for actual security but they keep PC Plod happy. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7001026.htm You can get quite a lot in one of those, Not even half full and has 4 x moderators, 110 x 12g slug, 200 x 44mag, 330 x 308win, 100 x 300aac Blackout and 4 x magazines
safc1973
Brattonsound PD7 388x407x320mm holds about 1500 shotgun cartridges - the smaller one holds about 750 apparently

phaedra1106
Indeed, the Sec.2 carts are under the reloading bench but I keep the Sec.1 solid slug ammo in the safe
The Mighty Prawn
And if like me you have to put it 'upstairs' then be aware a loaded ammo safe is way over the safe loading for a roof joist and you'll need some bracing timbers the other way - brilliantly the pillow I lay my head on was right in the drop path before I made amends.
