Hi, I'm new to pigeon watch so I thought I should introduce myself. Ive been shooting clays for a couple of years now but don't get to go as often as I would like. I've had a go at a live quarry once and it was one of the most enjoyable days Ive had with a gun. I'm keen to learn the basics about pigeon shooting and in finding a friendly expert to guide me through my first few trips. Ive been reading the forum posts for the last day or so and Ive already learnt quite a bit but there is nothing like getting out there and giving it a go I suppose.

Welcome to p.w , there is a gunshop up there called Kirklees guns is this worth a visit?

Hi, the guys in kirklees are very friendly and quite helpful but its not a very big shop and theres not much selection but they do have a small number of 2nd hands guns at reasonable prices. I bought my wife a 20g from them about a year ago. There is also a gunsmiths in Brighouse which is nearby and they seem to focus on the more expensive guns. The chap that runs it is a gunsmith and can offer repair work. I have never had to use his services but he seems to be well respected within the area.
