cpaulc
I'm pretty new to shooting as a whole and not done much pigeon or corvid at all. But I've just gained 650 acres to shoot over which is fab. I knew the land owner through work (both teachers), they put me in contact with their farm manager who was generally keen, as was their game keeper. I have done a lot of swatting up and could hold a conversation about decoying etc, but was honest about my experience level. Also turned up with copies of SGC and insurance, but the OS map helped, so we could talk boundaries and what crops are where. No rape but some beans, wheat and clover fields, not much pigeon around, but lots of crows and rooks to get started with. Happy man.
