KFC
Apparently there's a possibility that the Northern Lights may be visible from the UK tonight 10/1. I saw them from the UK, St Ives Cambs, once back in 1992 so I know it's possible. I shall take a look out now and then but sod's law says it will be cloudy. http://news.sky.com/story/1192933/northern-lights-aurora-borealis-in-the-uk

guest1957
Unfortunately it now looks like a no go: http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/community/topic/582-middle-latitude-auroral-activity-watch-january-9-2014/?p=6218&do=findComment&comment=6218 A real shame as it is impossible to describe to someone who hasn't seen them how beautiful the northern lights are. maxie
I saw it thirty years ago whilst sea fishing in Kent.It was so bright you could see for miles especially when it was in a light coloured mode. One of the wonders of nature for sure.
