mrmints
I've read on here in the last day or two that one camo finish is really bright in the moonlight, but I can't find the post anywhere?! Does anyone know the post or which effect you need to avoid?! Thinking of an SXP as a cheap wildfowling gun for next year. Chris
anser2
The effectvness of camo pepends mainly on the background you are hiding against. I would avoid some of the darker camo and if you are worried about reflection from the moon or sun get a fleece camo. I have 5 camo coats ranging from mainly green , reed pattern and desert camo. Some are light weight while others quite heavy and waterproof. All have their uses , but if I had to pick one it would be my light green waterproof fleece. It lights up in moonlight something cruel, the yanks cannot hunt after sunset so it don't bother them none!
anser2
Its amazing how well oiled blued barrels will flash in sunlight and sometimes can be seen from 100s of yards away.

Been out for a bit of a rough shoting saturday with my mate, he was a good 300 yds far from me,sitting against the hedgerow and i could not see him, only the barell of his semi shining in the sun like a torch... kent
High finish blueing is only an issue in daylight, I once thought a guy on a fox drive was trying to call a chopper in his gun was flashing that much from hundreds of yards away! You often don't see this when your holding the thing
