Frank Pindock
This is an invitation to join a London PW group. There has been some discussion about it being a social group to talk about shooting and perhaps have a pint with like minded people. The other option is to organising a clay pigeon shoot / meet up. We are open to all ideas and suggestions. If you would like to join in please register your interest by adding your name to the list below, we will aim to organise our first event towards the end of February. bakerboy
You can count me in , but I work every Saturday, some Sundays are free, it will have to be date dependant. Good luck and a good venture lets hope people get on board. Terry
Blunderbuss
Frank, as said in PM, I'm usually in town midweek so well up for a beer or two. My guns live elsewhere, as do I at weekends so can't do clays.

bakerboy
The Bree Louise at Euston sells really good Ale and a big range of Ciders. Or perhaps meet at my friends Fish N Chip restaurant In Central Square, Central Street Islington, there is a good pub nearby and the Fish n Chips are fantastic "Fish Central"

PhilR
Staggering distance of Euston would be good for me too. Not often I get down to the big smoke nowadays.
aris
How about meeting at a clay shoot on a weekend? Clay grounds are far and few between near central London - but if you want to go a bit further out, there are various reasonably priced hay balers, or fixed shooting grounds. aris
Closest hay balers to me are in Gerrards Cross (£21 for 80 sporting) and high Wycombe (£24 for 100 sporting). Closest grounds to London I am aware of are west London shooting school (expensive) and AC sporting targets in Northolt. There is also the A1 In Barnet near north London/St Albans London is a big place? If anyone knows of others, please post. Frank Pindock
Well it looks as if the London Pigeon Watch Group has been born!Frank PindockBakerboyBlunderbussShootgunAmateurArisFatcatsplatMongrelGuest1957FatblokePhilRDRWC DunkieldIf you are not on this list and would like to join us please add your name by posting below and I will add you to the growing list.So far it would seem that Bakerboy's suggestion of meeting at the Bree Louise in Euston, has gone down well, real ale and award winning pies, a winning combination and close to a railway station. I know the next bit is going to be hard but I propose Thursday the 20th of February for our first meeting at 6.30pm. Please let me know if this is convenient, we can change the date, it's not set in stone. It would be great to follow this meet with a clay shoot, all suggestions have been taken on board and all other suggestions are welcome.London is a big place and we are surrounded by shooting grounds, it may be an idea to organise visits to different grounds and get people of their regular patches. I look forward to discussing this and more at our first meeting. Edited January 30, 2014 by Dunkield
