cpaulc
Just gained further permissions today for pigeon across two farms as a result of beating on a shoot all season. I've also bagged an afternoons rough shooting, simply by asking the owner if I could take the dog and gun for a lap since it is the end of the season. They are still pulling 300 bird days out of the land so it should be a nice afternoon out! Just pays to get out beating, good luck one and all. malkiserow
Well done! Nice feeling after you put in the graft. It can work the other war around as well. I am on a pheasant shoot tomorrow as a 'thank you' for pigeon shooting. Well chuffed to shoot some driven pretty chickens.

lambchop
As with many things in life its what you make of it and get back what you put in. Sounds good stuff.

I've always said; if you want land to shoot on go beating. And if you have a bidable dog also, you're quids in.

cpaulc
Yeah, its probably more the dog that has helped, she has been fab, especially since its her first season working. But she has been a bit keen and strong headed late in the season as she think she knows the job now and can do it without me. - that's Spaniels.
