Cheers mate, just looked at one on flebay about £15 free delivery.

Make sure its a Power Crow one. There's some on the market that are not the right ones. £15 is a little bit high, but trying to find a retailer who has one is stock is hard.

Can you send me the Ebay link or item number so I can check?

EDIT: Just checked Ebay, and the ones on sale look okay.

If £5.99 is the correct price, I would buy a few. I might even order another one myself, even though i have a brand new one that is unopened.

EDIT: The seller has'nt got much good feedback, so be wary. £5.99 is half the normal retail price. The caller may be genuine though.

Just ordered one,now to start practising ,neighbour's going to be right sick he though his luck was in when I got rid of the electric guitar, lol

Don't give up on the caller if you can't get the calls right first time. It does take practice, and once mastered, it is THE best caller on the market in my opinion.

I can call in Crows, Jackdaw's, Rooks and even Seagulls (not to shoot though) with mine!

If this type of call has a read in it?? Like a Saxaphone there is a guy on youtube who explains how to blow from the Gut Stomach and as said above grip it with your teeth NOT the mouth creating a more realistic sound call :good: Works exactly the same as a Saxaphone i'm just learning to use the acme and my mate who lives half mile from where i practice can hear it cuz i practice it at work on nights  start at 6pm and only blow it till around 9pm ime in the middle of an industrial estate so am lucky we am over run with pigeons and of late have had a few crows drop in :yahoo: just a shame NO 12g Allowed but my gaffer said i can gladly take an air rifle :whistling:

Yes, it does have a type of reed in it, and yes, you have to exhale from the stomach. The ACME caller is designed for Jackdaw's, as it cannot produce the very low call that a Crow/Rook makes. Excellent for Jackdaw's though, but the Primos does all this, and more.

Steve has said they are good callers i hardly ever use a caller and get more than my fair share of crows. See my post on here pics of last years crows and they where shot without a caller.

Don't move about in hide is the key to big bags. :good: atb Terry

I agree with Terry. I've been shooting Crows with him, and no callers were used. I only use my caller when needed, and if the birds see my decoys and start to come in, then it's not used. I use mine to draw the attention of the bird's if they are in other fields, or flying some distance away. Once they take notice, then I leave my decoys etc do their bit.

And keeping still in the hide is paramount to shooting them.

i use a primo and on monday it was calling in the crows passing who wer'nt even interested in the pattern.

my shooting partner was getting up a little early and spooking them, a few toots on the caller and they where back.

one group even had four shots at them, dropped two of them and the primo brought another three back round for another bashing!!

it was great to see, they would fly past, croak up on the primo and they slow down to a pitched glide over the deeks, perfect presentation to be shot at, i even had them so close to the hide i could see their heads moving trying to locate which full bodied deek covered in a black sock was making the call!
