shaun4860
Paid the repair bill on Wednesday. Car is broken again today. I hate the thing! What are the problems you are having? I had 2 and had to replace the Air flow meter in one (I did 30k in that one) And a wheel bearing in the other
39TDS
Replaced wheel bearing, Replaced other front wheel bearing. I did these myself as i am a competent mechanic at the advanced end of DIY stuff. These need a press to remove and replace. Oil pump failed and was replaced, timing chains and tensioners replaced, even though they had supposedly already been done. This was by a mechanic as I don't have the time, inclination or experience/confidence. About a fortnight after I got the car back another expensive problem has appeared. Think it might be replace the vacuum pump type problem. Engine out job apparently. Costing me about £1/mile in repairs so far.
Sean Richo
Think you just been unlucky what mileage has it done and is it genuine miles did it have any service history when you bought it.
39TDS
When trying to find the cure for the problems I used Google. I am certainly not alone. Yes, all miles have been genuine.

39TDS
****** It isn't funny mate and I am trying really hard not to snigger. Especially as you have always spoken up on behalf of Xtrails. I have concluded that anything over 100k is very iffy. Shame because they really are nice cars. I'm thinking that as mine is worth f all in it's current state I might just as well keep the thing.
