Replaced wheel bearing,

Replaced other front wheel bearing.

I did these myself as i am a competent mechanic at the advanced end of DIY stuff. These need a press to remove and replace.

Oil pump failed and was replaced, timing chains and tensioners replaced, even though they had supposedly already been done.

This was by a mechanic as I don't have the time, inclination or experience/confidence.

About a fortnight after I got the car back another expensive problem has appeared. Think it might be replace the vacuum pump type problem. Engine out job apparently.

Costing me about £1/mile in repairs so far.

****** :D

It isn't funny mate and I am trying really hard not to snigger. Especially as you have always spoken up on behalf of Xtrails.

I have concluded that anything over 100k is very iffy. Shame because they really are nice cars.

I'm thinking that as mine is worth f all in it's current state I might just as well keep the thing.
