I would go Lanber over baikal, although have a 410 baikal, which is v.solid......I do think 12g looks like bit of a lump...csnt see how could go wrong with a £300 lanber in what looks tidy nick.atb. Cannon
I've had both Lanber and Baikal and they were both spot on. The Lanber was slightly better finished, but they both shot as good as each other.
aris
Are parts still available for Lanbers? I thought they went out of business - or did they get bought by someone?
thepasty
I've got a Baikel O/U I use as my game/rough gun, known as "The Russian", I dont find it overly heavy and its tough as old boots... love it
MrDaveO84
I have 2 baikals a newer single trigger sbs and an old made in the ussr double trigger sbs...they're both utterly reliable and have never failed me. I shoot better with my pig iron "Russians" then my 525 which cost 5 times as much just goes to show money means nothing if you can shoot with it. They are short in the stock though and I've had both of mine extended, I believe this is because they account for thick heavy coats worn in Siberia but not appropriate in Blighty
