fielddweller
We are staying near Bellingham which according to AA route shows S Smiths at36 miles and 1hour 29 away and bywell 35miles at 1hour 1mins away. Which are fine but any nearer would be great Fielddweller

pontbeck
If you go to bywell they will only allow SGC holders with insurance Rubbish There are only the two and you can turn up and shoot at either ground
Will Poon
Rubbish There are only the two and you can turn up and shoot at either ground I rang bywell back in January to ask about shooting on there grounds, I told him that my son wasn't a SGC holder so was it ok for him to shoot with me. The answer was no only SGC holders only with valid insurance .I'm off to northumberland this Monday and my son has got his licence through, with CPSA membership as well so we'll be shooting there this comming Wednesday . Do you know something that I don't
pontbeck
Look forward to seeing you on Wednesday as I have been shooting there for the last 20 years each Wednesday and Saturday

shaun4860
Hi Will I'm with pontbeck on this, They have insurance that covers non cert holders, They generally like to look after them themselves, I've never been asked for insurance there and don't know anyone that has, ( apart from you) I think I know who you might have spoke to on the phone (woman?) See you Wednesday
Will Poon
Yes it probably was Shaun. Either way he's fully insured now so that's not a bad thing IMO, see you Wednesday

rheth
why do you feel the need to criticise my reply was only trying to be helpful to someone who asked a question on the forum you obviously use bywell a lot and therfore telling him your opinion I was only giving mine did not see anyone jumping on your reply. Was only putting my opinion, I find SS's an unfriendly ground and very unhelpful to the point of being ignorant. As I said its each to their own, And I very rarely shoot at Bywell If my opinion offends you then I'm sorry but it's my opinion

bunnykiller
Bywell hav'nt got a section 11 cert, so you need to hold a sgc unless you are having a lesson, The new lad in the shop is a bit nervous (incase he makes any mistakes) so might ask to see your cert. but it is friendly enough. fielddweller
According to their web site you can't turn up and shoot Thursday or Friday ,we both have scg so might ring to try and clarify
