telf
i started a thread on this subject a good while back, the problem i was having was that they were shooting high for no reason,i know you can get fliers etc but these would be shots i could normally hit no problem, but the bullet would fly over the bunnies head and this was just after they changed the packaging? i did try some different ammo and then went back to winchester and perservierd,as said that was a good while back and have carried on using winnies,ok up to now,so wether it was just a dodgy batch that had crept in or what,i dont know, but it did seem strange the problem only arose when the packaging changed? turbo33
Well had this email back from Winchester this morning, which was a fast response Clearly, as always, the rep is being reserved, which I understand. However, as we know from our experiences, something HAS changed. So I will send in my batch numbers, and if any of you want to forward an email to Daniel with yours and you experiences, it may help with a further investigation. We can't be the only ones! My batch code is 1DFF12 Thanks for your email Nothing has changed for decades in the way we manufacture Winchester Subsonics only the packaging has. It could be possible that we’ve purchased a bad batch but there is no way for us to assess these rounds to determine this Can you please provide the batch number which is imprinted on the inside of the flap packet (not the bar code) and I’ll check with our QC department and see if anything was odd on that day of production Thanks and have a great day Daniel Johnson Customer Service Supervisor drjohnson@olin.com.au Edited May 2, 2014 by turbo33
turbo33
Well as promised, an update. Having not heard back from Winchester, I sent an email yesterday giving them a nudge. This is the reply I had today. Predictable, couldn't give a flying fig response :yes:So on the advice from some of you chaps here, I gave some RWS a go and following the pleasing results, I won't be going back to Winchester. I'm sure they won't go out of business due to losing me as a customer, but I do get very bored with the disinterested attitudes that some businesses have Hi Marc, I’ve spoken to our QC department and there was nothing to suggest that the batch you’ve received was in any way faulty. The results were quiet good Daniel Johnson Customer Service Supervisor Winchester Australia Limited * PO Box 776, Geelong, Victoria 3220, Australia 'Office: 03 52 452 424 International +61 352 452 424 'Mobile: 0409 123 854 International +61 409 123 854 :drjohnson@olin.com.au : www.winchesteraustralia.com.au Join Us on Facebook
