steveyg
Got to the perm for 7.15am...nothing about...I mean nothing this is a 40 min drive so my Father and I set up two hides..with our fingers crossed... 3 down in around an hour then I noticed some clay traps in the next field...scollops a bank holiday clay shoot was on.. as we were packing up the farmer came across ,he was out with his 70 year old air gun having a walk round. Had a 20 min chat and he said why don't we try the lake field...never been there before due to not having a 4x4..got one now ..result set up and the corvids were decoying lovely,Dad doesn't get out much and he was really enjoying watch then decoy so well Hit got to nine...then missed then next 8/9 birds..getting more frustrated with every miss we decided to hit the next bird together...jackdaw came in.. and we both stood up..shot, and it dropped like a lead balloon..I can still hear the laughter..priceless we finished on 25..should of been 40.. hey ho cracking days sport stunning weather and quality time with the old man...
