dadrew
Admin, please move this if you think its in the wrong place! Just wanted to say after much begging both on this forum and FB a guy allowed me to go along with him for some roost shooting yesterday evening. Unfortunatly it was chucking it down and no wind so the birds just wern't moving and we finished up with a solitary crow for our efforts. But what was most impressive was the amount of land that had he, two big farms, lots of rape and wheat but likely to get cut in late june. He has permission to shoot duck (on a small lake), pheasent, woodcock and partridge (in season), pigeon and any other pests. To really put the icing on the cake he then said to me that he was going to speak to the farmer and get me on the permission so that I can go up there on my own. Couldn't belive what I was hearing. Absoloutly top bloke.

Lord Geordie
That sounds fab! Not many will sign you up with the farmer after one outing! infact a fair few don't like to give you carte blanche on the permission! Sounds like you fell on your feet! Hats off to the chap who is sharing

dadrew
Well, been to meet the land owner this lunchtime, permission form sighned, from today until "Open". 24 fields of Winter Wheat, Oil Seed Rape and Winter Barley. Any one know how well the pigeons feed on these crops/stubble?
