DazzJo
Hi all A brand new clay shoot. If anybody would like to come this shoot, it is a brilliant morning as it starts from 9:30 till 12pm. There are refreshments available on the day. Fibre wads only. Only 5 minutes away from Betley Court Farm. The first one happened on the beginning of this month and everyone left very happy after blasting away the clays!!! There are 7 drives varying from singles, doubles and simultaneous shots and also VERY FAST shots!! Also includes a duck drive, a high flying bird drive and also a rat and squirrel drive too (which is brilliant!)..... The price of the day is at the bargain price of £12 and that is for 50 clays... If you would like to know anymore information please don't hesitate to contact me Cheers Chaps!! DazzJo

dorianbuilders
I assume the shoot your talking about is Checkley Wood and most would know this as a game shoot, if so Spike was correct they do have a wednesday practice shoot starting in the late afternoon. Iggy
I went along today with Scot Barnett. First time there for me and I thought it was a very nice shoot, £14 for 50 clays. Most stands were self buttoning (so you need a buddy or tag along with another group) but a few had trappers. Traps and batteries all seemed good with few no birds. Good mix of targets, some quite technical with short shooting windows but also a bit of humour....such as a rabbit rolled down a track that you shoot literally 10' away.....surprising how many missed it! Im sure the weather helped, but it was quite busy today and as I was leaving around 11.30 there were a lot of folks there. A few targets over water etc so if you are prone to mozzies take your bite cream. The catering looked pretty good too I dropped a few daft ones and finished on 37, but I'd certainly go again but probably have a couple of cards next time as I've got used to shooting 100......either that or shoot there first thing on the way to a registered? dorianbuilders
Yep. I live a mile away from there and couldn't believe how prolific they are in the area. I go there on mondays and without the insect repellant you get a few bites!
