motty
I use 720p (wide angle) all the time. If you use 1080 it will drain the battery in minutes and will use a lot of memory.

derfley
? Class 10 memory card, currently the fastest available (write speed). You need a fast card to keep up with the data rate when recording at 720p 60fps or 1080p 30fps.

The Mighty Prawn
I tend to use 720p but the narrow field of view - wide just gets shots of gun firing but hard to make out targets unless theyre six foot away red stags. That said you can pan and scan the wide but dont know if it would help see the targets

If your budget allows buy a second battery and a USB charger pack will recharge in circa 20 mins
figgy
As mighty prawn narrow view for shooting footage. I used wide and had to sit a foot away from a 50" tv to see 35 yard clays breaking, any thing at 50 yards is just a spec. Narrow is loads better but still looks a bit distant, like when you take a photo. Use wide setting for game shooting, you'll look great as everything will look like sixty yarders Figgy Edited August 28, 2014 by figgy
