Roof bar systems - Is Thule really worth it?

I have a newish Ford with a built in low profile solid roof rail.

I am looking for some roof bars to fit on it and use it for many years to come.

Looking in Halfords today there seems to be Thule and Exodus systems.

Does the PW massive have any experiences of these? Or maybe there are other rail manufacturers I can get a better deal from?

What you going to be putting on them? All are noisy and ruin economy take them off when not needed...........

I don't know malk, I need something for the caddy so I can mount a tube for my pipe, the usual stuff seems pants, can't see that lasting long.

I got Thule bars for the Jimny about 3 years ago. Apart from maybe a couple of months, they've been on constantly. Roofbox gets attached maybe a handful of times per year. I'd previously wasted £40 or £50 on a 'cheaper' pair, which rusted internally (had an outer plastic cover), and dripped rusty water all over the car.

The Thule bars look as good now as they did when new... apart from bug splats :)
