Trout spinning

Many Many years ago when we used to spin for trout. There was a rule of thumb that we used to use. On a bright day and clear water the Black Fury was the mepp to use in size 0-2 . On a windy over cast day and clear water a copper mepp was used. On a windy overcast day and dirty water then it was either a gold or silver, size 1-3. Using those rules of thumb we used to achive some good results. A mepp with a minnow trailing behind used to sort out some real big fish.

You can find Mepps of all types here.

These are the trailing minnows we used to use for larger trout.
