strangford wildfowler
Well im sure its happened to most of us, and its just happened to me one of the local cattle farmers has just had a sizeable field cut for silage last night, now the crows where piling into it last night before roost and I was speaking to the farmer and he has said no shooting hes to worried about his cattle no matter how many times he was told no harm would come to his cattle he just wouldnt come round to the idea of shooting. And this morning when I woke up I was getting the dog feed and I can see the field from my house and about 400 mixed corvids took off the field and back onto it again. I could av got a right bag of crows. Well p*****
Paul taylor
So often the way init, makes you wanna pull your hair out! One of the best flight lines around here is right over our house, corvids and pigeons galore but I'd be straight in the nick if I shot any :(
stuy
I found a flight line years ago very strong, but it was heading to another estate I hadn't got permission on but crossed my bit of permission they were heading for a pea field, and i decoyed them on some rough pastures! They showed some intrest enough to get some very sporting shooting shot over 80 very testing birds

You never know how animals will react to the noise, especially if in calf.

Also agreed. However those days of shooting a strong flight line are few and far between for me anyway. The second best is a return line from a field where pigeons have been feeding. This too may be some distance away.
