superspark
Im just wondering why so many people can be so stupid across so many shooting sites these days. What are other people's thoughts on shooters posting videos of shooting things unlawfully. It seems that there are alot of people not reading up on what is lawful and what is not. Example., using electronic digital sound recordings to decoy birds to shoot. Shooting pigeons in their back garden. They could not of checked the relevant laws yet are happy to post videos where they could be liable to prosecution. They must be mad. In the meen time playing right in to anties hands. rich1985
Last season I pointed out to a police officer using an electronic call duck shooting on a flight pond he was breaking the law, if the police don't know the law what hope is there for average joe as it were. Medic1281
I spoke to someone from basc once who was telling me about his day shooting earlier that week. He said he had been using a call to bring the crows in. When I questioned him about the legalities of it he said that it was illegal to use an electronic recording of birds, but he said that the calls were computer generated and not recorded so by the letter of the law it was perfectly legal. He did admit however that he wouldn't want to go before the court as a trial case!
bostonmick
Unfortunately there are some in our sport who just want to kill something for the sake of it.trigger happy idiots. And they are amongst the first to scream when the laws on firearms are squeezed a little tighter.

STOTTO
I must say that I am not altogether opposed to people providing photographic video evidence of their crimes and illegal activities in this way as I feel sure that it will give the police a real ‘leg up’ in their case for prosecution when it is brought to their attention! It must however be despairing for those that obey the laws both written and unwritten of what is acceptable practice in pursuit of legal quarry in the countryside!
