Mikeshudson
Hi everyone Just wondered what your thoughts were on these as I have just purchased one? I'm heading up to Bisley tomorrow to have it looked at as it does not like to extract cartridges and they also get stuck in the chamber when the bolt is closed... Any thoughts on this??? Anyway, purchased from a private collector who was thinning his cabinet for his holiday fund. Hasn't been shot in years but bares all appropriate marks, stamps and certificates (mag restriction etc). What do you think of them? Mike! Edited June 17, 2014 by Mikeshudson
Underdog
Had one years ago, yours looks a nice one. The extractor can struggle with the sloping rim of a 410 case over the original 303 case! I never did find a fix being young and naïve back then but I bet there is one! U.
Mikeshudson
Well she's going up to William Evans in Bisley tomorrow... Just wondered what people thought of them and if anyone had any solutions??
figgy
Should be able to add some metal to the extractor and reshape to suit the cartridge brass. Figgy
mickmep
have you tried different cartridges ? I've not had any problems with mine, but a mate has a couple that struggle to eject fired cartridges sometimes, always take a small screwdriver out with mine just in case. Mikeshudson
For those who are interested, went to Fultons today and was told the previous owner had entirely replaced the spring with a bit of rubber. New spring inserted and its cycling well - a bit stiff but well! Many thanks for all your help!
