rwade545
Well after 1 1/2 months of oiling and rubbing I am finally happy with the stock on my 682 LTD sported. The grain has really come out after stripping it, grain sealing, alket oil and then around 30 coats of rapid oil from trade secrecy before allowing it to cure and rubbing if down daily with a soft cloth. Put wax finish on today to protect it a bit and off to use it tomorrow before a few more coats of wax. It looks far better in real life with a figure in the wood that changes and dances as different lights catch it. Will see if I can get some better pics tomorrow as the iPhone does not like the low light in the house.
welshwarrior
Lovely gun from when Beretta made 682s to be beautiful and functional. Looks a good finish well done.
Gordon R
Very nice finish. Brings out the lovely grain, without looking over shiny.

kiffy
thats looking bloody lovely ive recently bought a near 20 year old 682 x trap myself and although its in amazing condition for its age it does have some bumps and knocks on the woodwork so im tempted to have a go at it not because its in a real need but as its very much like yours and has some lovely grain to the wood... ive done a few with tru-oil but fancy something different now and had heard the trade secret stuff was ok... looking at your pics it seems pretty damn good
figgy
Nice bit of wood. Like a hand oiled finish as you say sunlight makes the grain stand out especially any fiddleback. Figgy
