Jega
Its all character building my friend , If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too;If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same;If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss;If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone,And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much;If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son
STOTTO
I have another one for you, not mine I might add but heard on the shooting ground last year. In regard to ‘Over Analysing’, the comment I overheard was “Paralysis by Analysis” I thought that this summed it up perfectly. As being the slow ponderous sort I am prone to do this myself. ditchman
If you have been shooting for 6 mths it is to be expected...everyone goes thro it..........start again at the beginning get your feet right and stance and whatever you were taught at the beginning and you will slowly work back up to good scores.............dont think too much...dont analyse all your shots....the more you think about it the worse you will get..... MartynGT4
Nothing unusual with having a bad day, happens to all of us. Not getting enough sleep, feeling a bit under the weather or having a cold can play havoc with my shooting. I used to get frustrated about it but these days I just try to enjoy being out in the countryside, have fun and remember that I'd rather be out missing birds than sat at my desk at work

Nimbusgb
I seem to be dragging myself out of a dip the same as you. Since starting in January my scores steadily improved and then bang! A big slump and major correction. Now slowly on the up again. So much to remember from the lessons and gun fitting. Mount, process, plan, grip, stop looking at the barrels, keep the gun moving etc etc etc. One thing I have noticed is that my lead picture seems to have changed drastically and I need to get way out in front of them. 12boreblue
I reckon you got over confident, seen it before, shoot well a couple of times, go to the shoot, think you just have to point and pull. Take it back to the beginning, prepare yourself in the trap, full concentration and you will soon be back on track.
Uncle Albert
We all have em.This week your the brunt of all the p taking by your mates. Next week you'll be able to get your own back. Someone else will have a disaster. Must admit I like the "Ballistic Thrombosis" syndrome excuse though.
