steve_b_wales
I've read that Winchester have made a new bullet in 42grn. Has anyone used these yet, and if so, did you find it better/worse than the 'old' 40 grn?
Underdog
No but remember the Americans bringing them out years ago for thier silhoette matches where the steel targets must be toppled. Assuming of course but I would of thought they are a bit loopy over the less weights at the same velocity and the useful ranges! Use less comments of mine really! Dekers
I have heard mention of these new 42g for some time now but know very little, and the last time I looked on the Winchester site they were not even listed...seems a bit odd, I thought they would give them a high profile. steve_b_wales
They are advertised in most shooting magazines. Not sure who stocks them though.

Imperfection
I bought 500 couple of weeks ago. They zero exactly the same as previous version in my CZ 511 and are no louder either.Knock down on rabbits is the same too.Curious thing though,i compared the weight with the older ones and they were 3 grains heavier (total including case).Cost be about £3 more per 500,but i cant tell you how much because i dont know-i had other stuff too. The new 42 grain (left) compared to 40 grain (right).
steve_b_wales
I'll give them a try when my RFD gets some in.
Rimfireboy
I've been asking around my local dealers. None available yet, but one of the shop owners told me that most of his customers are using SK's now, and he's heard nothing but good reports. For that reason he's not that bothered about the winchesters. I can agree that for me, the SK's are probably the best hp subs I've used. I will be giving the new winnies a try though, when I find some.
