karm2803 Posted July 29, 2014 Report Share Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) I put my application in on a Monday and they phoned me on the Wednesday to visit on the Thursday That was Northumbria Police who I must say were great from start to finish. They like to have a character reference, i'm not sure how it works with you as you're inbetween education. They like to have a character reference, i'm not sure how it works with you as you're inbetween education. They may wish to contact your previous school, but as already said, contact your licensing team. Yes you choose the referee and they are contacted by the police, nothing to do with schools.......
