The Dog Food Diet

Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my dog and was about to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.
On impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again. Although I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the foods nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's *** and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard

I don't know you Fisherman Mike but please stop putting that poison into your body. It is where the guys at the top don't care about their customers loosing weight and getting healthy, all they care about is profit. That's what all business is about ! wake up and smell the coffee They use the cheapest ingredients they can get their hands on Not true to maximise the money they can make. They add loads of sugar Not true the stuff I drink they dont to their shakes to get you hooked, use huge amounts of processed carp and numerous chemicals. The chemical analysis and ingredient content on their products is quite specific and they would be in serious breech of international consumer law if they lied about it

Do a google search on them and read some unbiased/non-marketing reviews and you'll realise that you're paying a huge amount of money to kill yourself with this poison.

There's so much information out there for free on nutrition, just make sure it's based on science, not profit. They have invested Millions in science based nutrition research

Okay, fair enough on the profit/business bit.

But...

Cheap and huge amounts of processed chemical filler:

It's not against any "international consumer law" to put this stuff in food and drinks but it's certainly not good for you. What product of theirs is it that you are taking? I'm struggling to find where they have invested millions in science, can you provide your source?

I'm not trying to have a go, I just wanted to offer a bit a helpful advice. This stuff is not good for you, it might not be now but in time it will start to have adverse effects on your body. I place Herbalife products in the same category as cigarettes, paying out money to slowly kill yourself.

Most of those additives occur in common everyday food stuffs to be honest ...and many of them have health benefits. Calcium Panthothenate is Vit B5. Ferric Orthophosphate is an organic mineral used to treat anaemia, cyanocobalamine Vit. B12, Pyridoxene Hydrochloride B6, Di Alpha Tocopheral Vit E etc etc... they are just the scientific names for the common vitamins and proteins found in everyday natural foodstuffs...

I had some Broccoli earlier which contained trace lead, arsenic and antimony....

As for the cost its less per month than 1/2 a slab of cartridges which we deposit in leaden form over agricultural land by the 100's of tonnes each year.

You will have to do better research than that my friend if you are to discourage me or are you an advocate of a rival product ?.

Most people who are critical of the Herbalife diet are those who have tried it and failed miserably...failure isn't in my genetic code I'm afraid.

You've said it yourself, "additives". Sure some of those compounds are vitamins but they're being artificially added to these shakes. It's a fact that eating the vegetable/meat where these vitamins are naturally found is how your body efficiently absorbs them. All your doing when taking multivitamin tablets or drinking shakes with all these additives is producing vitamin rich urine.

I'm glad to hear you're still eating Broccoli, one of the most nutritious vegetables there is. Undoubtedly there will be several compounds in Broccoli but only present in trace amounts.

The only thing I'm an advocate of is not being ripped off by multinational faceless corporations that will take your money, convince you your being healthy but really they're slowly killing you. Eat natural foods that haven't been processed or tampered with.

As I said mate, I'm just looking out for you.
