Fisheruk
Surprised there is so little damage. Was it fmj or expanding? Don't forget to post your numbers on the PW Grey Squirrel count

Scully
Surprised there is so little damage. Was it fmj or expanding? I was thinking the same thing. The round in the pic' looks like a wadcutter head. Out of interest can you put .38 Special through your lever action also?

Out of interest can you put .38 Special through your lever action also?It is an empty case in the photo matey. The bullet was a 158grn copper plated affair.A wad cutter would be mustard though. I would think 38 ammo would be fine through it. One day I will switch to lead only. U. Edited September 25, 2014 by Underdog

I wasn't disputing what you had written, just thought you used wadcutters also, and that was one of them. Thanks for the reply. I have some swaged .38 HBWC heads somewhere that someone did for me yonks ago pre handgun ban. They would need gas checks for mag' loads but if I can find them and you roll your own you can have them FOC. There wont be many as they were just a trial to see how they faired, but I never got round to loading them, but they are in pristine condition.
