busa2003
Afternoon all, I'm on the hunt for a new set of barrels for a Lincoln no2. Does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of a set? MC if possible. Cheers
deershooter
Not worth the effort it will cost more than a new gun ,then they have to be fitted they are not just interchangeable parts Deershooter

loriusgarrulus
Why not check out the area it is in and make an outing of it and take a picnic or go for a meal out, and go sight seeing. We went to just outside Stratford on Avon for something pick up at 17:30, so spent the day sightseeing in Stratford and did the pick up on the way home. loriusgarrulus
No that is a bit far. Unless you can find something really stupendous to interest her and make it an overnighter..

Gordon R
Travelled to St Ives and back in the same day - about 10 years ago - to pick up a Winchester Diamond grade trap gun - bit of a bargain. 720 mile round trip.

clayman
Lincoln is an Overbranding name applied to all guns imported by David Nickerson up until about 5 years ago when he retired and sold the brand to John Rothery Wholesale. So a "Lincoln" could be made in different factories depending on its age. The Lincoln No2 sideplate is a common gun, many about, but these were made by Emilio Rizzini, who ceased production in the mid '90's. They are not the same gun as the later I Rizzini ( FAIR) guns currently sold as Lincoln. Original spares for No2's by E Rizzini have long been exhausted, and these guns can now be anything up to 30yrs+ old, so there are plenty of "end of life" guns around with issues from which spares salvage can be obtained. As noted, how-ever, barrels from a donor gun will need letting into another action, and the advice its probably cheaper and simpler to buy another complete gun is wise advice.
