bigbird
Well, she's eventually back home. After some messing about they've just dropped her off and I have to say she looks absolutely fine and well looked after. In fact she's looking rather TOO well, off to the vet's tomorrow, there is some definite boobage and she's put on a bit of weight Edited September 28, 2014 by bigbird
loriusgarrulus
Glad she is home. Hope the boobage and weight increase doesn't mean she got out at the wrong time.
bigbird
So do I... According to the chap's dad she hasn't had a season but according to the lad she has...
loriusgarrulus
Oh dear. Fingers crossed. Was she due a season while she was away by your calculation. Obviously it didn't work out trying to make her into a pet.
bigbird
Yes she was due her first season LG, really but of course she mightn't have had it yet, they're all different Sent back because she wouldn't hunt or go in cover - in fact the message read 'this dog's never seen cover has it?' LOL.... This was 10 mins ago bless her! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153600802623538&l=2005769177578521999 Edited September 28, 2014 by bigbird
JDog
Seeing that footage it is obvious where the 'fault' lay. She looks like the perfect type.
bigbird
She's great. She usually goes like hell (or used to) but she's unfit and carrying a bit of extra flab ! Edited September 28, 2014 by bigbird
loriusgarrulus
Doesn't seem a lot wrong with that on the video. Looking good. I am sure you will soon have her fit again.

She's fine She's not obese by any stretch of the imagination and I'm probably worrying unnecessarily as I tend to do over my dogs
loriusgarrulus
How did she get on at the Vets.

bigbird
Soooo just had her scanned. Not much bean wise to see but her uterus has a lot of fluid in it - got to go back in two weeks, Vet thinks she's in pup
loriusgarrulus
The idiots. I bet you are livid. I wonder if that is why she was brought back cause they knew she had been mated and most probably by anything that happened to be passing. They could have stopped an unsuitable pregnancy by the dog equivalent of the morning after pill, but they should have looked after her better then even that wouldn't have been needed. Poor lass its not her fault.
loriusgarrulus
Sudden thought. You said she was due her first season, so she is rather young for a first litter and is still growing and developing herself.
bigbird
Yep I'm livid! Oh noooo she won't be having pups don't worry!
loriusgarrulus
I would send them the vets bill. Best plan at her age.

bigbird
Yeah I guess, just want to get the dog sorted, really don't need any more aggravation
loriusgarrulus
Can understand that. At least she is in the right place now to get what she needs. Although it has created expence and problems for you. Goodness knows what would have happened to her if they had kept her.
kent
I think I should be very choosy who gets a pup if I breed any gundogs, following your experiance
beeredup
i would not be able to choose who got a pup if i ever owned a bitch and she had a litter its one of the many reasons i would only own a dog
