Yes please, post pic's. I have one and would be interested to see if it's the same.

As kids we used to ranch about on the council tip, and I took all sorts of things home. There was also another tip about half a mile away, dating back to Victorian times (still there actually but well covered now) and I often dug up old bottles and jars etc.

going on the websites.......in america some of them...the theme type..houses with a chimney are worth $70-80.........the ones i have are mostly 18th cent with a few 17th cent...and go for anywhere....$5-$36..each.....the more collectable are the bigger stoneware type and the ones that have a moulding on them to lay you quill on....

i can just imajine an 18cent country parson dipping into it to pen his sermon.........whereas mine would be used by someone wearing fingerless gloves...cold and thin...scratching away with a quill..in a profit and loss ledger overlooking the docks...... :lol:
