Denboy
I'm approaching 21 weeks now and I've had my interview but still waiting! I've sent emails to the chief of police to pcc and the firearms department and I'm still waiting!
Rst1990
The norm for the ticket to come through the door after interview is 2 weeks. Unless there is a problem with your application that the chief of police is not happy about signing for?

stubby
Hopefully 3 weeks and I'll have my FAC (touch wood) do you have more permissions to shoot on, than you put down on the application? when I was waiting for mine, I phoned once a week with a "new area" for them to check out, saying a customer wants me to clear rabbits on a one off basis, and by the way, how long till my cert arrives as I'm loosing money if someone else gets the job, as well as getting the cert within weeks, it was also an open cert on first application

In fact I have got another permission through my father in law all I have to do is meet the farmer
Jay_Russell
Surely the back log will only get bigger as time goes by. Have they done anything to get back on track?

Don't know I spoke to basc and they gave me a phone number to speak to the supervisor but the supervisor is out at the moment so I'll try again tomorrow because I'm at risk of losing my permission if I can't keep on top of the rabbits

Denboy
Received a email from PCC saying that the firearms department are dealing with applications in a strict order so BASC told me to send and email asking them to ask the chief constable how will he cope in 2015 when we are in a quiet period And I got an email from firearms saying they have a back log to BASC told me to email them under the freedom of information act how big is the back log, how long an average application takes and how many do they grant a day? BASC said use pester power which is what I'm doing lol
