norfolk dumpling
Missed the big display but bought one. Ordered ours very early on and it is perfect. Just not sure what to do with it. Grandkids might get it - one seems to be taking and interest in the world wars.
Guest rimotu66
Mine arrived today Need some green hammerite for the stem then decide what to do with it. Heavier than I thought I got mine a few weeks ago, isnt there a note with it syaing about the rusty stem? My g'friend wanted to clean up and paint the stam as well but I want (and will) keep it as it was when on dislay in London, that way it will be worth more when I sell it in a few years time

stokie
A friend of mine was involved in the manufacture of them. He was also one of the volenteers that went to London to help set them up
Chris Bb
Still waiting for ours. Hope some RM person hasn't "liberated" it.
Whitebridges
We were lucky enough to order two and they arrived earlier in the week. My daughters who are both over 20 YOA continue to ask me questions about the war and the significance of the poppy. Historically Norfolk has been called, " Poppy Land". Money well spent. shaun4860
Still waiting for ours. Hope some RM person hasn't "liberated" it. Mine was delivered by Yodel, They sent me a text and an email saying it was on its way, Came the same day, If you havn't had mail or text (providing you gave them both?) then I wouldn'y worry about it, You should have a tracking number anyway, I got one months ago
Mike737
Mine came via Yodel, undamaged, about a month ago now. Still had soil on it, and the stem is rusty. I think I will mount it in a slab of oiled Yew. Yew traditionally growing in churchyards, it seems somehow appropriate; and the dark heartwood will complement the dark centre of the poppy Mike.. triumph_Dave
Ours arrived a few days ago via Yodel as well. I missed the tower display, but wanted a Poppy to remember what was done. My Grandfather was in the 4th Hussars cavalry, one of the first of the BEF regiments into France. He had 3 horses shot out under him in the initial months of the war before the trenchs. Badly wounded in 1915 by shell fire when fighting on foot at Ypres, went back to the front and managed to survive the war, then raised a family ( my dad ). Thats why I am here.. He purchased my first shotgun for me when I was 15. He inspired me to ride and hunt. He never talked about the war until the last years of his life and then he told me as much as he could remember, which I have tried to pass to my sons. To me he was a hero.
