Paul T
My Squashqai has got the 1.5 dci diesel engine and I love it - it's definitely not underpowered, but it ain't sports car quick either. I've had it laden with 4 adults and 4 dogs it made no difference to the pulling power. I bought as an ex-demo in 2010 and I have no intentions of swapping it in the near future. That said, I'd definitely have another
stuey
Mate of dad had one terribly underpowered! Was this the new 1.6 diesel as the review I have read seem to be quite favourable? Cheers Stu
HDAV
Was 6 months ago so may have been the previous model. I know they have recently changed. Edited November 2, 2014 by HDAV
four-wheel-drive
The problem is it all depends on what you are used to driving if you usually drive a 1200cc car a 1600cc will probably appear to be quite powerful I went from a 4ltr automatic to a 1600 manual and just could not get to like it as it just seemed so underpowered in fact I think all you can do is drive one and see what you think. evo
crickey 4ltr to a 1600, no wonder it seemed underpowered , that's like comparing a Z900 to a pushbike  on a serious note my shooting buddy traded his freelander in for the 2ltr diesel and it the best thing he ever did, he is over the moon with it on and off road atb Evo

norfolk dumpling
My works has 4 brand new Jeeps (£50k apiece) and they have spent most of their infancy in the garage witha succession of 'computer' faults. One I took back for 3/4 error messages developed another couple before I got to the garage a couple of miles away. Lovely to drive however so long as you look at the road and not the dash. To true I have had the orange engine light showing on my dash for over two years but I can live with that as long as it goes ok.
