I'm confident, not of winning I know I am not anywhere near good enough for that. I am always confident before a shoot, this game is all in your head, you have to come into it thinking positively or you are beaten before you fire your first shot.

And you have done precisely that PIN, by stating that you are not good enough to win you have already lost. This game is all in your head and if you are not thinking you can win then someone will beat you.

Every time I go to shoot I set out to beat the best guy there, that is the only benchmark you can have, I now know that the bar is set at 193.

GD shot 196 in 2002 so he is losing it, time for someone to fill his shoes.

I am confident I will shoot to my abilities, I am under no foolish illusion that I have it in me to beat the big man.

I mean come on the man is a machine, one day I might have the experience to think it, but at the moment I will keep my feet on the ground thanks very much :good:

I take confidence in the fact that I improve almost every time I shoot and I am beating people who have been shooting an awful lot longer than I have. When experience catches up with my natural ability I honestly think I will be capable of winning something :good:

More hot news from my team of spies at the ground, Faulds shot a 95 on the first layout, including a missed bouncing rabbit that he was most upset about, and then, just as GD was on the phone to the trophy engravers asking them for a quote for the 2007 inscription, Faulds really turned on the gas and shot a stunning 98 on the second layout, to equal Diggies score of 193. :good::good::wub:

That promises to be some shoot off..!!

I think the nearest score to them is from Martin Myers, arguably the best Sporting shooter in Wales, who shot a 186.

Well guys, I have just been to get my shells for tomorrow and I have been informed that Ben Husthwaite (Not sure on the spelling) only shot 162 ex 200. Nutworth (Again not sure of spelling) shot similar.

The good news is that there will be no problems with the sun on any of the stands (so I am told). There is one rangey rabbit and one close in, couple of good battues and a nice midi to have ago at.

After speaking to the guy at Easthorpe i don't think any of us will have to many problems and should score reasonable well. So confidence has been boosted again. BRING ON the Clays.

SS :good:

Anyone know roughly how long it will take to shoot the two rounds? I am meant to be a taxi service for my other half friday evening and I was going to suggest a debrief Beer in a pub afterwards.

Anyone interested?

Cat,

I hope that your predictions will be posted on here at 11.40 tomorrow as that is kick off time. That will stop any match fixing from either side.

surely 145 is acheivable, I think you are trying to put the wind up us.

Hommmmmmmmmm.

Carts in boot of car, still can't change the freekin lenses on my Oakleys, choke case and key finally found and gun greased.

Lets rock...

EDIT:

Cafe at 9.00 a.m then - Cavie get the kettle on.

Already done Andy,

Try popping the middle of the lens out first, then take the sides out. And in true Haynes manual stylie fitting is the opposite of removal. :good::good:

If it was Haynes manual style the model you have won't be shown in the diagrams, the text would be a lot more vague and would almost certainly require you to fabricate some kind of special tool.
