jgknott
I have very kindly been given a couple of widgeon by a colleague. I am thinking of taking off the breasts (skin still on) and quick frying them for a warm salad? They were shot on an estuary, and I am a little worried about the overwhelming taste (the smell is bad enough), should I be? Any thoughts would be appreciated! fenboy
Eat them , next time you are given some you will not describe the act as "kindly" I think your colleague has a grudge against you The best way to eat them is in a curry or plenty of spices . Richie10
Perfectly fine if treated right. Don't think people would shoot them if they didn't want to eat them.

jgknott
Right thank you all! Sadly, from your comments, I have not been filled with much confidence... However, I am still excited to try a new meat and will certainly report back...

Dan.
anyone done Nandos Widgeon?
Marki
Put it in a pie. One widgeon breast to about 5lb of steak and kidney should make it taste ok ;-). The dogs seemed happy to eat them but they also lick their backsides so I suppose that doesn't count.
