I would just like to thank Slick for an absolutely cracking day, it was well worth the 400 mile 7 1/2 hour round trip.

I met some cracking people, had a good laugh, and shot surprising well :)

I managed 9 pheasants for 15 shells, had my very 1st left and right on a cracking pair of well driven high birds.

Then the best bit for me was the duck drive, I had never done one before so was really looking forward to it, but not entirely sure what to expect-well I now have a new found respect for you guys that go wild fowling, these birds are not reared ones and steamed into the pond like guided missiles within a couple of minutes of us getting into position.

The 1st to arrive were the teal, closely followed by some mallard, My shot count fell to bits after that, I found it extremely difficult to see the birds, but still managed to bring a couple down including a left and right on teal.

I can't thank Slick and his guys enough, top job, and am already looking to return asap, next time though I will travel down the night before.

Glad to hear to had a great day Wingnut. I too did the same journey (From Nottingham) and it was well worth it. Let me know next time your going up and maybe we can get a few from this area to go up.

What was over bag count? and was there many of you out?

I am not sure what the final bag count was in the end, but I know there were 14 duck from the pond we were on, and as an estimate I think 30-35 Pheasant, there were appx 8 guns in total.

Definitely going to go back, I have just refuelled the car as I brimmed before I went and it only took £36.22 to re-fill it, not bad for 380 mile round trip.

Next time you go give us a shout and if I can wangle a day off (self employed) it would be sound to have some company

HI LADS I HAVE 5 GUNS LEFT FOR THE 26TH BOXING DAY IF ANYONE INTRESTED £100 FULLY DRIVEN WITH DUCK FLIGHT.ALSO BARE IN MIND £30 MINIMUM TIP

How can you tell people there is a minimum £30 tip before the shoot? the tip should depends on the day you have had, number of bird shot and how good the gamekeeper actually is. Why don't you ask for £130 a gun?

HI lads sorry i put that last post on because i was peed off. lads if you have been to my shoot days you would no how much i try to put the best day possible on for the guns .As for trying to do everything myself well that is not true. The thing you have to understand is if the day does not go right it is down to me.so if a drive takes a little time to blank in i no i would not be botherd because if i was a standing gun i would be thinking get as many birds in as you can in the drive. So all i can say is keep your negitive comments to yourselfs thanks to the comments off guns that actualy have been

Slick I don't know you and because of the distance can't see me ever making one of your shoots, but i applaud what you are doing at the price you are doing it at. £100 for a day on the pheasants followed by a duck flight is top value, and the fact that people that have shot with you are posting about the great days they are having shows you are getting it right :good:
