Zetter
I'm sure it works great! But it fails in the looks department..... Apparently, this was a prototype..... Form follows function mate as far as the design goes. Ive got one and to be honest it blows my mates photon XT away as far as image quality goes. Also colour pic for daytime use that automatically switches to black and white for night time use. Pity your a bit away or you would be welcome to take a gander through mine. The designer is currently working on an add on to put a rangefinder on the unit which if he can keep the weight down would be amazing. I don't doubt it's ability, or that of the Photon. Just watched a scottcountry review on the ATN X-Sight day or night vision scope. Wow! But then it is £650.... But I did like the 3x12 mag on it, very nice! Jamie
new shot
Snow white, I am going to stick with it as I like it because its neat and fuss free and does what I want it to do..(providing the screen don't go green!) Just need to get it on a decent rifle and I will be away,i have been frightened off of putting it on my springer but I will be seeking advice. But as soon as I get a day off I will be going to purchase a new Pcp rifle,, Thanks for all your advice guys its been a good learning for me.. Frazer..... Jamie Hi Jamie Below is a link to the main website the guy is Nic Wenham and has posted a lot of some of the NV forums about his unit, http://www.pitchblacknightvision.co.uk/ I did read a few of Steve B's notes on the ATN X Sight but as you say £650 is a bit much for me and was a bit overkill for my .22LR, it would be something I would be really interested in if I was foxing with a centrefire but all my permissions are arable so the farmers dont have a big issue with foxes. Another unit to look at add on wise would be the Starlight Arrow. Colin Ladd off here was kind enough to let me have a go with his unit and as an add on system it was really good. All the best Neil Edited December 4, 2014 by Zetter

new shot
My Yukon Photon was eventually sent back after the screen going green again. I spoke to The shop I got it from and they wasn't to helpful and told me that I had to speak to the importers and they wasn't prepared to send me a replacement as they had to check mine first! So I new straight away that it could be a long process if I dealt with the shop and I would end up in a argument and as the shop is far away from me I couldn't speak face to face to them. I contacted the Importers Thomas Jacks and posted it back to them at my cost £15.50 and they sent me a replacement out which I received yesterday. So hopefully this new one will be ok and I wont have any issues.. I must say that I was glad I dealt with the Importer who was very understanding and appreciated the fact that I had spent £400 and just wanted a scope that works how it should. And if I would have gone down the route of the shop I got it from I doubt I would have received a replacement this side of Christmas.. I am £15.50 out of pocket but at least I have my scope and I can enjoy using it now..

But, when you buy any item, it is the supplier who you bought it from, who has to deal with the issue. They should have taken it back and replaced it. new shot
Yes I agree but I could feel the situation getting heated and I was desperate to just get one what worked. But yes is should have been Kicking off with them about it. However I am still going to send an E mail to them telling them of my disappointment and the fact I have had to pay postage costs etc.. steve_b_wales
I had to send my Cobra Merlin (under warranty) back to Uttings, who then sent it to Thomas Jacks. I had to pay £7.45 to send it, but did not pay for the return.
new shot
I don't mind mind paying the £15.00 but it just annoys me that they didn't even offer and its a product they sell and make money from. But Thomas Jacks were very prompt on returning another unit which really is all I wanted. and also when the people I got it from tell me its a budget NV scope, yes I get that its a entry level thing but it's still £400 and and there should be some customer service. But enough of the Rant at least I have a new Scope and I can now start to enjoy some night shooting Vermin.. Happy Christmas
Zetter
Mate that's appalling service from who you bought it from I would be giving them a wide berth going forwards. As a comparison a while ago I bought a £120 scope from my local RFD and I found that the POI changed when I altered the parallax so I took it back to the shop and as they didn't have one it stock they gave me an option of waiting a couple of a days until they got a new one from the supplier or bunging a bit more cash to them and upgrading to another scope which I did. At no point did they mention sending it back to get it checked out it was a replacement will be ordered straight away.
