Chris Bb
Yeh the l200 is 125,000 warranty, the other thing with a steed is im not sure they have been crash tested? Surely they have to meet certain minimum standards to be sold in UK/Europe?
pestcontrol1
HHi, I'm considering getting a Great Wall Steed. Can anyone offer their review of the motor? MPG, off road capabilities, problems with warrenty and dealers honouring the warrenty, servicing cost, insurance cost and tax costs? Thank you, Lee Did you get a steed
bakerboy
Did you get a steed The MOT is due On March 1st, the truck is now 3 years old (1st March). 38,000 miles on the clock All terrain tyres have done 37,000 and still loads of meat on them. Sailed through the test no advisories. Someone (not Fenboy) on one of the threads stated that they (Great Wall) would not pass the first MOT as the chassis had rotted away. Anyway if you want to buy it look on Auto trader it is up for sale. I have had such a good deal with BASC and others that I can afford to let PW members have a deal. Not going to post it on PW as cannot be bothered with the hassle from the doom sayers, I have enough going on at the moment.

bakerboy
If the Steed looks as good as me at 67 years old we will all be singing it's praises .
flycoy
I have worked with BB a lot and his Steed has always kept up on the motorways and muddy fields and always starts in the morning, if they are in your price range why not give them a try! I would of had one but they couldn't do contract hire 2 yrs ago, so went for an Isuzu D max, bit more expensive but good bit of kit, pulled a 120k range rover out of a ditch with it in muddy field in January so chuffed to bits with mine. As BB is with his no doubt. Rolls Royce and Purdeys go wrong too! Flycoy
Mentalmac
All cars go wrong - it's because they have a large amount of precision made moving parts operating at high heat and pressure... for christs sake theres explosions going on within them! The thing to consider is what you want it for and are you getting the most for your money.
