hi dave,im looking for something like a dereeilght x sercher with an aspheric lens for a long throw laser like beam with little or no spill,i think the x sercher is about £160+posted to ireland/tipperary,do you have anything like the sercher?if so how much including post to ireland,thanks

Hiya - sorry I hadn't seen this before. I should have some white pills coming in by early next week so I can swap the pills as needed between RED, Green, White and Infra Red.

Sorry - i have never used an X searcher, they do howver focus to a tight square beam but there is some spill too.

The x searcher by far has the better throw and tighter beam. The head adjustment is utter pants though and this is where the T series torches win.

I personally think the T67 has too tight a beam that would miss a lot of eyes when having a shine about - and the spill sometimes helps a bit there.

If the X searcher beam is even tighter I'm glad I'm glad don't have one. I'm not being bitchy or anything about it but too tight a beam for lamping doesnt seem a very good idea to me.

I found it useless for lamping Dave. It's like trying to laser target your quarry. The standard nightmaster is good enough, but I'm with you, a flood to focus torch is much handier. It's just a shame the bods in China decided to make that t67 so humpingly large. They could have gotten away with a much lighter head and a smaller main tube.

 

I think that world have been the winner by a mile. As it is, other than the weight, the t67 is much more practical in the field. But better from a vehicle rather than a pocket carry.

Does anyone do a flood type lens for the nm800? The reason I ask is that I use the nm800 on my rifle and think it's good, but I need a torch for work that has a less focussed beam. Instead of buying a new torch I wondered if I could get a different head for the nm800 and swap heads depending on if I'm at work or shooting.

You just have to loosen the lens, you know, so is slops around on the overly fine threads. It was, ummm, 'designed' like that don't you know!

I know that, but it's a **** torch on flood. I was thinking a non aspheric lens might have been available for when you don't want the tight beam.
