JDog
Last weekend I had a very fine days shooting with Cocknee from this forum. It is rare to find such a friendly bunch of people, all of whom were complete strangers to me. There was good banter all day and during the after shoot dinner. Whether I disgraced myself with my shooting performance I could say but I certainly did with my bird ID. On the last drive after plenty of pheasants had been flushed out came a bird which I immediately identified as a penguin. It flew along the line of guns and away into the distance. At the end of the drive some of the guns told me that it was a Carolina drake, the first I have seen. The Mighty Prawn
Penguins are always hard to ID once they take to the air

TIGHTCHOKE
JD, you don't disclose whether you brought the gun up to this unidentified "bird!" Did you have to pay a shoot fine or undertake a "task" at the shoot dinner?
