Travlaa
I would imagine they are made to with stand hail stones so doubt falling shot would be a problem.+1 my parents have solar panels in there field. The guys who fitted them said you could drive a golf ball into them and it would be fine. Wouldn't try it, but they are very strong
Dannyboy220
We've got acres of panels on our permission and the farmer wants us shooting the rabbits there. They make good cover when stalking up to them and can't see a problem as long as you are careful, if you're not then take up a different hobby! panoma1
Forgive me for digressing off topic but this business about not letting shot fall on a neighbours land seem a bit daft! How would anyone prove beyond reasonable doubt (or on the balance of probability) that the shot you were alleged to have fired fell on someone else's land? Where is the evidence? Even If plod could find a pellet of 6 shot how could they prove it was you that fired it?........unless of course you admit it!.........bizarre! malkiserow
Nobody mentioned insurance, it would be more than sensible to make sure you have some.
Dekers
Is it illegal to shoot near solar panels? My friend said it's illegal to shoot within 1/2 a mile . NO, its not illegal, where do people come up with this bull, the easy response every time, when whoever says whatever is Illegal, is to ask them for the specific law so you can look it up, that's when they tend to go quiet! r1steele
Lads this has strayed to far off topic. If I get asked to shoot on a farm that has panels already and it's a mile to the nearest farm am I ok??? I know common sense is the normal but I'm just checking the laws /legality to be fair, I thought I answered it in the second post of this topic
