Mentalmac
They are a little thirsty, but who cares :-). Only costs a handful of peanuts to fill a full tank on them :-).

Mine was £55 to fill and only did 180 miles to a tank! Great shooting vehicle tho and amazing off road.

My jeep is £60 to fill (just did it last night) and I am getting ~240 to the tank in a 3.7L. That sucks, but not as bad as 180! thanks rick

Loved it but my 200 tdi Landy 90 is cheaper to run fuel wise!

TaxiDriver
"Bought an old Vitara for peanuts............" On reflection.... That seems like a fair swap lol ? Do You think it is a bad car? Or? No, not a bad car at all, I'm sorry it was a witty (I thought) tongue in cheek retort, Obviously my perceived humour was lost or only appeared to me.. The Vitara is a very capable and popular little 4x4 without needing a lot of modifications. I found mine surprisingly thirsty for a little car
archiebald
? Do You think it is a bad car? Or?They are great! Very reliable and superb off road! Great for shooting too as you can fold the back seats down and get quite a bit of room. Good for lamping too as they are quiet and don't vibrate like a diesel when resting on the window frame. Easy to fix too I miss mine very much! Luckily my dad has it now so I still get to see it lol Sure it will make you verry happy, they may be thirsty but they are worth it! mossberg-operator
I will check that! Thx for tip! Air con fixed. All oils have been changed. Got the 5 matching alloy set on her now. Going to the bodyshop next week I think to sort out some rust issues on back wheel arches. I will paint the sides after. Now, still undecided on tyres. Thinking of buying some all terrain ones. (50/50%). 195 size. However car got a 2" lift (spacer), so might get away with something bigger? It will be used as my fishing/shooting vehicle. No serious off roading.
