Mitchsan51
My Labrador Retriever kips in the garage. If and when she has any pups I am considering a heater system for the new born pups. Any ideas PW ?
jeffjjack
100W infra red lamp suspended above the bitch and pups, hang via chain and then adjust upwards as the pups gets larger/ more energetic (jumping etc)... Can get from any electrical wholesalers Edited March 4, 2015 by jeffjjack
bodach
Pig heat lamp suspended over nest box, make it that it can be lowered or raised depending on the temp, pups will soon let you know, all below light lower a wee bit all around side of nest box raise a wee bit. crowdie2013
heat lamps are a good idea; but like animals in the wild, as long as pups are out the wind and rain, their mother will keep them suitably warm. Even some straw in a large box does fine. When are they due?
loriusgarrulus
If you can get the ceramic heat bulb, pig or chick heat lamp, the ceramic bulbs are more robust than the glass type.

al4x
You will be going into summer so be a little careful too much heat is as bad as too little. It can also put the bitch off staying with the pups. Mine welped indoors and I kept her there as the temperature was a pretty steady 18 degrees or so
