krwigan
I finally got out after work for a few hours. Armed with my Air Arms 510 in .22 and my camping matt (mole style ) I laid up at the end of this wood for well over a hour but no sign of any rabbits which is funny as it's peppered with holes in the basin and the wind was in my face. Anyway decided to give it a few more minuets, then the most unlucky squirrel decided to make a appearance. Only one outcome when he decided to sit no more than 15yrds away. Gave it another 10mins then decided to try the other side of the wood for the last hour of daylight. Got all layed up nice an comfy, lots fresh signs of rabbits. First one appeared abot 50 yrds away. Then another, then another. Then one decided to wander down to me, he came within 30 yrds so I just squeezed the trigger and..... Missed! Dear me how, I will never know. 15 mins later, missed another at about 20yrds! The light had gone, so headed back for a bit of ratting. Never shot the rats on this farm before so didn't know what to expect. Anyway I turned round the first corner and mr ratty was sat waiting. Whack! One down in the first 2minuets, managed 6 more confirmed in the next hour or so. Two where not retrievable as they wher in the slurry pit. Hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading. Good shot?
Glad to hear someone else admit to missing sitting targets, I blame my easy misses on adrenalin after a long wait. However a good outcome, and you have left at least two rabbits for another day.
krwigan
Thanks lads Bit rusty on the rabbits, think some target practice in the field is needed!

MK38MAGS
I keep meaning to take the Rim fire out with me, there are hundreds of rabbits around my place, would cost me fortune if a popped them off with the centre fire while out foxing. Nice little right up.
