jonno 357
Shouldn't be a problem getting one sent over. I bought one a few years ago and didn't have any problems. Seems strange why they can't ship over ? Try another shop or seller perhaps Jonno

SNAKEBITE
I don't think they are ALLOWED to export such items. Other companies might do it but i think it is a bid dodgey, if they get caught ofcourse. Best way is to get someone to bring one over for you, although this is also technically a "moody". They could confiscate it at customs, ofcourse they would have to 1) Know what it was and 2) know all the rules governing such items. You might get lucky, if you can condone such activity of course. Blackbart
I had my eye on a reasonably priced quality rangefinder located in the USA (they're just asking silly money on this side of the Atlantic). Saw it on that well known auction website. Anyhow I had some questions so I emailed the seller, a shop I believe, the usual about shipping costs, insurance and the like (and the mark it gift request :o ). They come back to me saying this item is a dual use item, so no shipping outside of the USA, do you have a US address? Well, no, not the last time I checked. So much for them having Shipping : Worldwide beside the picture I'm not quite sure what would have happened had I bid on and won the item but I'm glad I didn't. Careful what you bid on folks They have stupid laws in the states regarding ANYTHING to do with firearms export.I import goods from the usa and you cant even import a boresnake cos its against federal law.HOWEVER there are ways and means if you have an exact make n model send me a pm and i will try and give you a here in the uk price. dazza
I was told some places in America are 'concerned' about sending 'shooting' related products to Ireland especially the North

me and my lad
if you have a look on the parcel2go.com website they had a facility to set up your own collection/forwarding address in the states, all above board. the idea is you get stuff sent there and arrange for it to be delivered to you in the uk
Dunkield
They are all very jumpy over there at the moment. I asked and Amercan colleague, a shooter I might add, to buy a 5 shot magazine for me and bring it over to Ireland when were meeting up - he flattly refused. Try another site John and ask if thay can ship it to Iran, they have done enough of that in the past
lurcherboy
Everything was fine until 7/11. The laws changed regarding the export of many shooting related items. When you contact the sales outlets in the states they normally ask whether you have a friend over there that will accept delivery then send it on to you as do the nice chaps on the phones at the dti. Peter_HMR
John i just ordered a Bushnell 450 from opticswarehouse the other day best prices i have found apart from the autcion site very easy to deal with and reply to emails fast. Last thing i got shipped came within 3 days of ordering. Think i paid €170 for the range finder set of QD studs and shipping not bad if you ask me. If you ask anyone on the american ebay site anything about shooting related stuff they will always say no even if theres no probelm my approach is just buy the item pay straight away and add a little extra for postage and give them my address then ask them the questions have got everything so far just pay by paypal so you can get your money back if theres a problem. Lord Geordie
Ban the sale of BIG balls of string then as THEY can be used as a range finder The Yanks are nowt but a bunch of cowering pansies when it comes to shipping shooting related goods crying on about the (it could be used against our troops) For crying out loud between the US and USSR they between them must have supplied ALL the armies thay have fought against in the past decade or so with their Guns and Ammunition and they have the blatant cheek to stop US companies from shipping outside the US :( Beggars beleif! I hear shipping from Canada is a lot easier LG
