Rav4
Been thinking of buying a gillie suit has anyone tried pigeon shooting wearing one instead of a net hide? Has anybody used a pop up hide? if so are they any good.
bakerboy
Not used a Gillie suit , but never worn a net hide either Pop up hides are a complete waste of money, no room to move.

kenholland
saw a pop up hide at a car boot last year £15 too fiddly so left it there, gillie suit collects too much ground fodder plus you cannot get over any spikey fences give them both a miss.just my opinion. drut
Pop up hide is a good tool for rifle shooting(I use one a lot for rabbits/fox) but not good for shotgun use:too restrictive.
prem1234
I've got and used a gillie for pigeon shooting and it just got in the way....I set up a small hide against a hedge with bramble in it and the Gillie kept getting caught on it and it became a right pain...I also came out of the hide and kept close to the hedge line but again you get caught up so my findings are for pigeon shooting a good old hide can't be beaten.....I've kept the gillie for skulking around the woods with the rifle
Cosd
Save your money, it'll just go to waste on either. A hide met and poles is the way to go.

steve_b_wales
I have a pop up hide, and have used it for shooting Corvids on the fields with my .22LR. Also used it on Corvids with my shotgun. The view is slightly restricted, but I had a good 180 degree arc of fire. Most birds were shot when they attempted to land in the kill zone.
