Fudge40
Evening All, I am currently looking for some wellies and can across a brand called Solognac, They are sold in decathlon and made in France just like Aigle wellies. They also have a two Guarantee just like the Aigle but half the cost. Has anyone had any experience of this brand good or bad?
fenboy
When I was carp fishing in france the lake owner and his son used their chest waders for work around and in the lake and rated them highly for the price , dont know about the wellies though. shootgun
Don't know about the wellies, but i've got camo jackets and trousers, fleeces, hats, gloves and scarfs, all Solognac, and they are really good value for money.
sitsinhedges
I got some fur lined short wellies for about £15 and they've been great so far. Don't know how long they will last but wish I'd bought a few more pairs at that price.
Wildfowler12
Solognac wellies are brilliant mate. I've got 3 Paris... 1 neoprene for winter shooting, 1 short pair which I wear every night walking the dog, and 1 cheap non-lined pair for summer shooting. All over 2years old now and all still good as new
ollie
I bought a pair of the inverness shooting trousers for £55 last winter, they are brilliant for the money!!!. I also have bought a light camo jacket from them which has done me 2 years without any hassle. However, I bought a pair of their gators & they the strap tore off one of them. The gear from Solognac seems to be very reasonable.
Big Al
I can't speak about the boots but I bought a pair of their shooting trousers last year. I can't complain - they are hard wearing and in good order. Dirt cheap too - about £8! One of my mates bought some cheap spinning wing mallard and teal decoys in Decathlon and was well impressed. I went for some but predictably they went very quickly and no more came in. I will keep an eye out for them this year!
DaveT
I've got the lined wellies and like them, lasted well so far
triumphant59
Just had a look on the solognac website. Wellies cheap enough to chance and see what they are like. Clothing looks really cheap as does their hides/accessories. Anyone ever used a camo hyde/umbrella? Like the look of the adjustable tripod seat. Guess €/£ exchange rate is helping us. Problem with website is its a bit lacking in descriptive info on the products. Poor translation!
robdab
As said in the first post Decathlon in the Uk sell quite a lot of their gear when I go over to France I shall have a look over there to see if there is a bigger range
Chris Bb
There's certainly much more on the Decathlon website than there is in their Southampton store which stocks nothing related to country sports. I've been thinking about a pair of their zipped wellies, much cheaper than most of the others available. Edited for rather silly typo. DaveT
Similar range in France to the website (although they also sell ammo) but it does tend to be on display in the shop.
